Sussex Cottage Holidays
Due to the recent state of the economy, people have been increasingly taking their holidays in England. As a result, Sussex has seen an influx of people taking cottage holidays in the County. Holiday cottages are a great, and very affordable way to spend a couple of weeks with the family. The vast majority of Sussex cottages operate on a self catering basis, providing you with a full kitchen that you would be used to at home. Because of this, you can operate your holiday within any budget you choose. You don't need to go out to any of the great Sussex restaurants every night to get a good meal. Simply stay in and have beans on toast should you fancy it. But what is there to do from your Sussex cottage base? Well, Being host to the spectacular coastal towns of Brighton, Eastbourne and Hastings, Sussex has a plethora of activities to suit the whole family, especially the horticulturists of you out there. The county is home to hundreds of public landscaped gardens, many of which offer free admission. Brighton, often referred to as the gay capital of Britain, is visited by over 8 million tourists a year and is widely considered one of the UK's top spots for night life. The town also features numerous Museums. As much as Brighton is a mecca for the younger generation, those of us with a few more years under the belt flock to Eastbourne in equal numbers. There is a beautiful 4 mile walk along the sea front with fishmongers at one end and a cafe to greet you at the other. Also in Eastbourne is the popular suicide spot of Beachy Head, the towering cliff instantly recognisable by its white chalk face looking out to sea. Beachy head is in fact the 3rd most popular place in the world to commit suicide, behind the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and the Aokigahara Woods in Japan. The historic town of Hastings, home to the 1066 battle of Hastings is a town of 2 very different personalities. The old part of town remains much of its charm from back when it was a small fishing town. The new part of town, however is indistinguishable from the majority of modern British towns, great if you want to buy a phone or eat in McDonalds, but there is not much else on offer. As you can see from this short article, there is a lot to do on a Sussex Cottage Holiday. Why not see for yourself. Garden of England of cottages has a large number of Sussex cottages for short term holiday rental. Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/3556746
